I feel more at home in a library than anywhere on earth

There are few people who have influenced me and my thinking any more than E. Hubbard (arts & crafts hubbard) and when we were able to travel to RoyCrofters to visit, sitting in the lobby of the hotel and seeing “his paradise” was a tremendous inspiration to me.  I dream of a “wordsmith” hit like his in my lifetime.  Not yet, but it is my hope.

What a tremendous experience this whole trip was for both of us.

ONE OF THE GREAT PLEASURES OF MY LIFE IS TO READ, THINK AND RECORD NOT ONLY MY OWN THOUGHTS, BUT THE THOUGHTS OF OTHERS THROUGHOUT THE CENTURIES.  GETTING OUR THOUGHTS WRITTEN DOWN IS VERY MAGICAL

I can think, and record those thoughts – therefore I am.  Reading and writing the thoughts and ideas of another person, mixed with my own, has always felt like the most valuable thing in the world to me.  The thing that has dominated my interests for a lifetime is wordsmithing.  There is nothing I do that I enjoy more than fleshing out a great sentence, or some great paragraphs of sentences that bring a new thought, idea or story into reality.  It is the purest form of innovation (which I think is my greatest gift) and there is nothing I find more pleasure in than producing something new and unique – and perhaps worthwhile.
